About Me!

I am 18 years old and am a child of God. God gave me a heart that loves children with disabilities. In 2012 He pointed out through Taylor-Tots how children in other countries were seriously mistreated because of their disabilities. Since then I have researched the children, followed many families adopt, gone on a mission's trip, started this blog, became an Angel Tree Warrior for Leilani and gotten closer to God. God used the Taylor-Tots to show me Katie from The Blessing of Verity. When Katie was adopted at age 9 she weighed just 10 pounds. My heart breaks every time I see a child who looks to be age 4 and is actually 10 or older. Children like Nehemiah, Christian and Reign. I wish I could adopt all of the kids. One day I hope to adopt. I want to go on missions trips and just love on these kids.

In the spring of 2013, God put it on my heart to go on a missions trip for my sweet 16. I prayed about it and He showed me the Joni and Friends organization. In order to be a Short term missionary on one of their Family Retreats you have to be 17. God led me to email them anyways. I emailed them and I got a response from the Arizona Joni and Friends. I talked with the director, my mom talked with the director and we all prayed about it. I knew that if God wanted me to go He would send me and if not then He would have a better plan for me. I got the phone call saying that I was in to go. I figured I would have to raise around $1000. And guess what? God provided me with all $1000 and then some. I raised $1210. I had to fly down to AZ and I had never been on a plane before, I had to meet people that I had never even met before, I was going to do something I knew very little about and I was not anxious or worried at all. OK the turbulence freaked me out a little but that is it.

I went on another trip with the same organization last year. I grew so much! Unfortunately, this year I am unable to go due to family weddings all summer. But I feel God tugging my heart somewhere else this year.

I craved to do something more. I prayed about it and in September of 2013 I found out about the Angel Tree on RR. I voted for the kids I thought would benefit the most from it. I had to pick one child to be the warrior for. I couldn't decide between Ruslan, Salome, Reign or Leilani. Finally God just said Leilani so I was the AT warrior for Leilani. I began to doubt that I was going to be able to raise all $1000 for her when 3 days before December 31 I had only raised $578 for her. One morning I woke up and went to check her grant and it blew my mind what I saw. She was at $1000!!!! I called my mom because I was so excited and no one was home to celebrate with. I ended raising a total of $1014 for this sweet dolly.

In 2014, I was the Angel tree warrior for Silvia (she is unavailable for adoption now...) and an unofficial Angel Tree warrior for Aria. I raised over $1500 together for both of these sweet girls.

Now, I am the Family warrior for the Chaves family adopting RR Nathaniel (new name: Zebadiah). I love being with this family every step of the way even though they are nearly all the way across the country from me.

God showed me this little guy on RR named Christian. He has seizures so bad that he is in a medication sleep. He desperately needs out. I am his guardian angel until he finds a family. Praying for Christian.

Besides sharing, advocating, going on missions trips and blogging, I enjoy bible journaling, reading, watching movies, hanging out with my youth group and working. I work at a preschool just up the street from my house. I absolutely love it. I admire Nick Vujicic. He amazes me. I have his book and his movie. I love following his world tour on Facebook and Youtube. Nick Vujicic is my role model. I want to share God with so many people just like he has.

Well that is me!! Hope you enjoyed!
Now tell me a little bit about yourself!
